On cnn.com earlier today I stubled across what is easily the most ironic news headline I've ever seen:
"Poll: Nation split on Bush as uniter or divider"
The media truly excels at unintentional comedy.

That's fucking hilarious. You should let Fortean Times know about that one via their website, they collate crazy fucked-up headlines and that's a classic.
We have an old clock above the front door of a shop round here. The shop is, and always has been it seems, a launderette. The clock is protected because it's so old - you know, a kind of 'heritage' thing. However, it's very un-PC. Above the clock, it has - in big letters you can see halfway down the road - DON'T KILL YOUR WIFE! LET US DO IT FOR YOU!
Of course, it's a reference to the washing... but most folks don't cotton on to this when they see the sign...
