Tiny Bloglets
Sorry I haven't been blogging more lately. The magazine is nearing deadline so I've been finishing up my projects. I was just going to do the zine reviews, but at the last second I was asked to write up a mock War on Terror board game, which I think is turning out pretty well. It's basically just a cut-and-paste game that features the president moving around a monopoly-style pathway, with each move representing some idiotic mistake that he's made over the past few years. The joke is that, as Bush, none of the games complicated rules actually apply to you, so you can walk wherever the hell you want. Not sure if there is time to actually have someone illustrate all of this, but once it is available I'll let you know. I also include a fake advertisement for other war related games that are available, such as:
Pin the Blame on the Media!
Moral Slip n' Slide!
(lubricating oil not included)
Abu Ghraib Prison Scandal, the home game
(which is like Jenga, only with nude Iraqi prisoners)
etc...
So, I took a few more days off from work. My vacation hours are quickly dwindling away. I may have to tap into some of that "sick leave" gold mine, schedule a few head colds in advance. I have a tendency to not leave the house for long stretches of time, I can't tell if this is getting worse or if I'm just burnt out at work.
Take care...
