Pimpin' My Product

The latest issue of the magazine is now available, it's #22 I believe.

Where can it be found? If you live in a city-ish type place, you can (possibly) locate it at a Borders bookstore. Also, a Towers Records might have it. TMCM (which is created and published by Shannon Wheeler) was originally a political comic before becoming a magazine, so comic book shops tend to carry it, an option for those in the smaller areas. The theme of this issue? War...so guess which president gets made fun of fun of? That's right, 9th president William Harrison (who was a total wig-loving cod-piece, if you ask me).

To be found in this issue: a War on Terror cut-and-paste board game, boat-loads of satire, a sex advice column by Bill O'Reilly, as well as essays, political cartoons (the one by Ted Rall is particularly brutal, it's great) and other fun stuff. For my part I do the book reviews, focusing on 1. books I actually did read and 2. books I did not actually read, including Ann Coulter's latest, the 9-11 Report and the Holy Bible. Also, I read and review tea leaves, so...it gets confusing.

For the Brit in need of a copy, I've heard rumors that a store called Page 45, in Nottingham, sells it, and there is apparently a chain called Another World that offers it in a few locations. (Er, I have no idea if I'm getting these names right. I just hope I'm not steering you into a porn shop.)

Also, ordering information is available at www.tmcm.com. The website is undergoing repairs and has not been updated in awhile, but if you click the "buy stuff" icon, you can order it there. Just ask for issue 22, and I believe it's five bucks. Tell them Matt sent you and I will get a free bag of peanuts.

Too Much Coffee Man: buy it, love it...touch it.

In another terrifically exciting Matt Update...the job I applied for several months ago, doing book reviews for a local newspaper, did not happen. I submitted samples, went through a job interview, was asked to submit more samples, and was finally told in an e-mail (which I will now paraphrase), "Dear Matt, we weren't actually interested. Sorry about that." Now, considering the hoop-jumping they made me go through, I think the subtext to their message is pretty clear: "Dear Matt, you suck ass, please die." I'm intuitive that way, I can pick up on these things. Clearly they were interested, I just wasn't able to step up to the plate, so it's disappointing, but hopefully...well, hopefully nothing, it's just one of those things. I think the main problem is my ADD, which seriously impacts my ability to write. I honestly have the attention span of the flea. Well, not honestly. I metaphorically have the attention span of the flea, and it's become, increasingly, a problem.

My style is simply too rambling and too unfocused for it's own good. Also, balloons are pretty.

Hope everyone is well.

I think one of our local bookstores may actually carry it. If not, is it available by mail?

Hi Snave! Ordering information is available at www.tmcm.com

The website is currently undergoing repairs and has not been updated in awhile, but if you click the "buy stuff" icon, it has the address where you can order from. I think it's five bucks. I I should probably put this in the post, I'm glad you asked.

Or, if the website is having problems just e-mail me and I'll get you a copy: matt72701@yahoo.com

    Take care!

Matt, you might enjoy checking out some of Damien's artwork at www.couchwarfare.blogspot.com ! He featured me, lizzy and McG in a recent episode of his sidebar comic, 8 Year Reich.
