I was searching around for a review of the new War of the Worlds movie, and all I could find was this review from a Swedish site. Here is the concluding sentence:
"Hade skådespeleriet varit i klass med filmens effekter hade det blivit något helt annat"
Interesting. I have no idea what this means, but I'm wondering if "skådespeleriet" is Swedish for "crap". Probably.

Based on my perfunctory knowledge of German (Swedish belongs to the Germanic group of languages) I surmise that the word means somehting like "damage play". In other words a play or film with lots of carnage.
Whether the entire sentence is complimentary of the film, my guess is as good as yours.
Since Sweden is the land of the likes of Ingmar Bergman and Max von Sydow I would surmise that Swedish tastes in film are more - how shall I say - discerning than those of knock-about, red-blooded, fightin' Americans and Canadians, making it entirely possible that the Swedish review in question, of The War of the Worlds, was not neccessarily adulatory.

Well the first google result included J Lo's name, so obviously your guess as to the meaning of skådespeleriet, could very well be correct.
