Discussions In Which I Ramble...And Ramble.

The blog Eric's Grumbles Before The Grave is one of my favorite places for rigorous, well-meaning debate. Eric and I almost never feel the same way about the various topics up for discussion, but we seem to have a good time whenever we disagree. In particular, this post about the war on terror has resulted in a lengthy discussion, which has since spilled over onto Mike's blog, No Angst Zone. His post Afghanistan and al Qaeda lays out why, for him, the invasion of Iraq was necessary. Matt disagrees. Much fun is had.

Politically Eric is...well, I would only get this wrong, just visit his site for a break down on his belief system. I'm not sure that Mike fits into a easily described category either, and besides, who needs labels. I get linguistic claustrophobia around them.

Screaming, mean-spirited debate is the norm and I just wanted to mention these blogs and posts since these guys focus on a more thoughtful style of dialogue.
