The Waiting Room

I am so ADD that sometimes I can't come up with anything to post, even after several days. I sort of go in and out of phases where my mind is so overloaded with thought fragments that I shut down, go blank. I've always thought of it as a personality screensaver. It sucks. I really lose track of time this way. I'll blank out, wake up in the middle of something, have no idea what's going on. The other day I was driving home and then, all of the sudden, I found myself in a grocery store staring at a box of pop tarts. I didn't have any memory of walking in, it was like I had materialized in the middle of the store. I must have really wanted pop tarts. So, that's what is happening here right now. Matt is confused. Maybe if I drink more...

Thanks (and I'm updating the blogroll this week).

Matt, have you ever had your blood sugar checked? That sounds a lot like symptoms of low blood sugar, which can be extremely dangerous.

Next time you start to get fuzzy, try taking a packet of sugar with some water and see if it helps.

My dad is diabetic and that really does sound like low blood sugar, which can be very dangerous if you it goes too low.

You wouldn't have a history of diabetes or hypoglycemia in your family, would you?

I've never had my BSL checked, it's something worth looking into. Although most of the time these blanky states last quite a while, weeks sometimes. I can't tell if it's a mind thing or a medical deal. I want a glucometer now. And also a neural glucometer.

Come to think of it, the glucose explanation is kind of boring.

Maybe it's a Sybil multiple personality thing. Hopefully you other personalities are not psychopaths. That might be a bummer. Or, there's always the alien space abduction theory. Or a combination of all three theories.

But all teasing aside, I'd get that checked into. If you drive, that could be quite dangerous, even if it's not low blood sugar.

Geez, maybe I should be a mom after all. So much advice!!! Eeeeek!!!

PS I haven't been spacey lately, but I have been tired quite a bit, so I actually empathize with that. And with that thought, I'm going to sleep.

It's not boring, it's a good thought. I avoid doctors too much, I need to just give in and go for a general check up. Or, maybe I should become a hypochondriac and go atleast twice a week. Woo-hoo!

That's not the American way. What you have to do is scan around on the internet for your symptoms, and once you have a long list of applicable diseases, you find out what non-regulated herbal remedies are being taken for them and mix them all together in one of those chocolate protein shakes.
