Better Blogs
I am out of town for a bit and probably won't be back until this weekend. I thought it would be a good time to provide a list of posts that I have read and enjoyed lately. Here are the linkies:
In this post, D.J. from Casual Asides breaks down and diagrams the current situation with Iran. Insight and criticism are bound and steeped in his tea cup of wisdom. It's the best overview out there on the topic, highly recommended.
The wonderful Ruchira Paul, of The Accidental Blogger, follows up on a series of book reviews I had posted recently featuring two-word book reviews. She offers up her own reviews and, wisely, expands them to five words. Here is the post. She kindly refers to my abbreviated style as one utilizing an "economy" of words. I would suggest, rather, that my vocabulary is in a terrible recession and it is she that communicates through a currency of rich and efficient words. Anyway: you now have ten new books to seek out, enjoy.
Are you both a nudist and a Republican? If not, you should definitely take a look at the nifty t-shirts being offered by Sheryl Zettner of Thought Vacuum fame. Here is the site where you can seek and find a topical yet stylish torso-cozy. Also offered: sweatshirts, buttons, coffee cups, all featuring a sadly accurate caricature of our beloved president. Best of all? The image is designed by none other than Damien from Couch Warfare. Can you handle the coolness?! Well, probably not. It is, after all, a huge quantity of unexpected joy. Try taking a little nap, sipping a bit of green tea...and then get busy buyin'.
Thanks.
