Cerulean Blue: the color of the future

The more Buddhism I read, the more I realize it's really just a form of Bearable Pessimism. Therefore I like it.

Next week: I reduce Taoism to a t-shirt slogan (something along the lines of, "Consciousness is easy. Yodeling in Cantonese while fending off a leopard attack is hard".)

I'll also be unveiling the next big trend in philosophy: humorously unironic re-modernism. Architecture will be transformed, history reformed. Technology? It'll take a huge leap sideways thanks to philosophy and the neuro-artistry of tomorrow: Geneticists...crazy, fucked-up geneticists...combine the latest strides in mind-design with the plastic world of consumer products. Look, it's a cell-phone that thinks! A lamp that questions the meaning of it's pointless existence! It'll be a world of hilarity when inanimate objects share our existential woe. W...why are you crying little toaster?

If cell phones could think, they'd be gossipy little buggers. And if toasters could cry, I'd be electrucuted.

I think I'm not on board with this.

I may have to become an adherent to the Church of Appliantology (see F. Zappa, "Joe's Garage"), run by L. Ron Hoover.

Matt, I like the concept of seriously short reviews, whether it be books, films... religions... Good work!

I was going to say that I just experienced enlightenment, and the bulb in my lamp blew out... so not really so much now.
