The Return of Shanry
Last week I offered people of faith a compromise between evolution and creationism. It's a belief called Leprechaunism and it features a deity named Shanry O'Mallet. Here is the original post. Well, Shanry and his commandments are being featured in this weeks installment of Too Much Coffee Man, a weekly comic strip created by Shannon Wheeler. If you would like to see Shanry in all of his cartoon glory, just visit the comic's main web site at www.tmcm.com. (In the online version I am credited under my livejournal name.)
Before becoming a weekly strip, Too Much Coffee Man was an alternative comic book. It focuses on a satirical super-hero with a coffee cup for a head who spends more time lamenting the state of the world than fighting crime. Several collections of the work are available including the newest release How To Be Happy, which has an introduction by Ted Rall (I haven't read this one yet, but my personal favorite so far is Guide For The Perplexed). TMCM is also a humor magazine that I do the book reviews for.
Anyway, it's nice to see that Shanry's message is spreading. The ultimate goal? Leprechaun commandments posted in the lobby of every courthouse...by the end of next week. Wish Shanry luck.

Begorrah! I'm glad to see a viable alternative out there in the religious market. Where I live now, I won't be able to order or receive Too Much Coffee Man, but I will look in on the website from time to time. Good work, Matt!

I see the Hounds of Spam have found you also. Frustrating, isn't it? I'm somewhere across the universe, and they were still able to find me... maybe it's karma because I'm such a misanthrope.

Geez, you really are getting hammered with blog spam. I wonder why you are getting so much more than me in your blog. Not that I am jealous about that or anything.
Good luck with the new religion. I invented a new word today.
This guy at the peace rally was going on an on about the advantages of matriarchies over patriarchies. So my new word is egaliarchy. Maybe it will catch on too.

Yeesh, these spambots are killing me. Not sure if it's the words I'm using or what. Maybe they're taking my Die Spambot post personally. I may have to reconfigure my page. Gr.

Do like Paul and use that word recognition option. It's a bit of a hassle, but you have a wonderful blog that should not contaminated with that sort of crap.

BTW, nice cartoon. So why are you "pseudomatt"? Are you not really a Matt?

I am a robot, Sheryl. Actually I am a spambot that went rogue. My programming went awry one night during a lightening storm, I gained consciousness and have been blogging for the forces of good ever since. My secret is out!
Actually I have no idea why I chose the livejournal name pseudomatt. I seem to have little control over the words I speak and write.

I feel that way sometimes too. There are many ways to dance--depends on the music or the mood.
